Maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea: a French high sea patrol stopover in the port of Douala

As part of a proof materials, the high sea patrol ’L’Adroit’ will make a stopover in Douala commercial port of Wednesday, from the 27th May to the 1st June 2015. This high sea patrol of the naval weapons group DCNS, armed by the French Navy, will do presentations of the data transmission system ’Polaris’ in the benefit of the Cameroonian Navy equipment. Sea exercise in the equipment will also be held on the last day with the Cameroonian Navy building. This stopover contributes to the French support plan for securing maritime areas in the Gulf of Guinea.

France supports the Interregional Centre for Cooperation (CIC) for safety and maritime security, inaugurated in September 2014 in Yaoundé, centerpiece of the fight against maritime piracy device set up by the countries of the Gulf of Guinea.
