The Regional Economic Service

The Regional Economic Service of Yaoundé provides economic information missions to the Ambassador and the French administration and provide support services to French companies. Its jurisdiction covers the area of Cameroon, Chad and Central African Republic.

The Head of Economic Services for Central Africa is based in Yaoundé, which coordinates the work of the Economics Departments of Libreville, Brazzaville and Kinshasa.

Presentation:

External Service of the General Directorate of the Treasury and in the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Regional Economic Service (RES) has an advisory function for the French authorities.

Besides its sovereign role, the RES Yaoundé has the aim to promote bilateral economic and financial relations.

The SER Yaoundé covers four countries of the Central Africa sub-region, all members of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa : Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Chad and the Central African Republic.

The Head of Economic Services for Central Africa, based in Yaoundé, also coordinates the work of the Economics Services in Libreville, Brazzaville and Kinshasa.

The Regional Economic Service publishes a monthly newsletter called "The letter of Central Africa" in collaboration with the Economics Libreville, Brazzaville and Kinshasa, covering economic and trade news from the eight Central African countries which are : Cameroon, Congo , Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad and Sao Tome and Principe.
